Greenfield Canal Towpath Taskforce - Volunteers Project Day Tuesday 6th October 2015

The plan is to work through to 4pm but you are by no means expected to come along for the whole day. If you can only spare a couple of hours it would be great to see you and you can maybe learn some new skills - I for one have never done post and rail fencing before! The Canal & River Trust welfare vehicle will be there for brewing up and all equipment will be provided.
For those not interested in fencing there are the ongoing tasks of picking up litter, cleaning steps and cutting back weeds etc that always need to be done.
Some of you may already be aware that Uppermill now have their own Community Association and Peter Killan is also establishing a towpath taskforce team. He has arranged for Steve O'Sullivan of CRT to host an introductory 'Taster' Session on Saturday 17th Octoberat Limekiln Lock [by the viaduct] at 10.30 AM. Some of you may know Peter already as he has supported some of our events at Greenfield and it would be great if we could get his new group off to a flying start by helping out. I for one will be there and hope some of you can also show your support.
If next week is not conventient for you we also have the following dates arranged so I hope to see you then.
