Saturday 7th June saw the unveiling of a wonderful well-dressing plaque against the Chew Valley Road planter. This year the plaque celebrated the 150th Anniversary of St Mary's Church and its display coincided with their celebrations and flower festival.
This is the 6th year of Greenfield displaying a well-dressing plaque, with the heavy frame originally being supplied by Men in Sheds. 60 kilos of clay are attached to the frame, onto which the chosen image is designed. Then many hours are spent affixing flower petals, stones, lichen, bark and greenery to create . A true labour of love to create a beautiful and evocative picture.
