SUMMARY:Canal Tow Path Repairs Saturday 11th October
DESCRIPTION:Anyone strolling along the canal towpath will surely notice the fantastic improvements made by our volunteers and members of the Canal and River Trust. Grano gravel has been added to improve the surface\, and overgrown foliage and shrubs have been cleared away. \nWe will be meeting at 10am this Saturday 11th October at the Royal George Mills entrance to the towpath.\nPlease come along and lend a hand\, even if only for a short while.\n\nIf you're arriving by car there is street parking on Church Road\, Friezland.\n\nWe will be continuing the work to resurface the towpath and there are other jobs such as litter picking\, cutting back overgrown vegetation and clearing/brushing down steps that always need to be done too.\nAll equipment will be provided but please wear clothing/footwear suitable for the weather conditions on the day.\n\nWe hope you are able to join us\, but if this weekend isn't convenient for you dates for the rest of 2025/early 2026 are below:\n\nOctober - Tuesday 21st\nNovember - Saturday 8th & Tuesday 18th\nDecember - Saturday 13th\nJanuary - Saturday 10th & Tuesday 20th\n\n\nA link to our album of previous working party photos is below.
