Greenfield Canal Volunteers Meet Up - Saturday 8th August

We will be meeting at 10am this Saturday 8th August at Division Bridge, off Calf Lane, Greenfield. If you're arriving by car access is via Calf Lane (off Manchester Road) and there is parking at the cricket club.

Our main task will be putting down a fresh layer of stone on the footpath, but there are always other jobs such as litter picking, cutting back overgrown vegetation and clearing/brushing down steps that need to be done too.

All equipment will be provided but please wear clothing/footwear suitable for the weather conditions on the day.

We hope you can join us but if this weekend isn't convenient for you dates for the remainder of the year and early 2027 are below.

Unfortunately we are not able to have a second meet up in August but will be back out in September.

If you have ideas on how we can improve your volunteering experience, activities we can undertake or improvements that can be made on our adopted section on the towpath do let me know.
