Anyone strolling along the canal towpath will surely notice the fantastic improvements made by our volunteers and members of the Canal and River Trust. Grano gravel has been added to improve the surface, and overgrown foliage and shrubs have been cleared away.
We will be meeting at 10am this Saturday 11th October at the Royal George Mills entrance to the towpath.
Please come along and lend a hand, even if only for a short while.
If you're arriving by car there is street parking on Church Road, Friezland.
We will be continuing the work to resurface the towpath and there are other jobs such as litter picking, cutting back overgrown vegetation and clearing/brushing down steps that always need to be done too.
All equipment will be provided but please wear clothing/footwear suitable for the weather conditions on the day.
