About Us

About Us

For nearly 50 years, the Greenfield and Grasscroft Residents Association (GGRA) has been dedicated to representing and supporting our local community, which includes Greenfield, Grasscroft, Friezland, and Lydgate.

Our Mission

We are committed to:

  • Advocating for the interests of our neighbourhoods
  • Raising awareness of local issues and encouraging civic participation
  • Protecting the local environment and safeguarding the greenbelt
  • Providing a strong and effective voice for residents on public matters
  • Lobbying Oldham Council and other relevant bodies on behalf of our community

What We Do

Our work includes:

  • Offering a platform for advice and discussion
  • Representing residents' concerns and interests
  • Sharing important news and updates with the community
  • Engaging with the press to amplify local voices
  • Attending public meetings to ensure our community is heard

As an affiliate of the Campaign for the Preservation of Rural England (CPRE), we receive expert guidance on issues such as planning, rural conservation, noise and light pollution, and the impact of mobile phone masts.
