Public Meeting, Civic Hall, 2nd Dec 6 pm - local Rail Upgrade Plans

This is more important than you may think…

The work to upgrade the local rail network will be very disruptive to local access, transport, services and daily routines in Saddleworth.  Footpaths will be cancelled and gardens compulsorily purchased…

The Parish Council is holding a public meeting on Tuesday 2nd December at 6pm in the Council Chamber at the Civic Hall, Lee Street, Uppermill, which they would like to invite you to attend.

The meeting is aimed at informing local residents and businesses about the The Transport and Works Act Order(TWAO) application, what it means for Saddleworth and how to comment on it.

The Transport and Works Act Order(TWAO) is available to view online here,  https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/stalybridge-and-diggle-saddleworth-transport-and-works-act-order and in hard copy format at Greenfield library.  All 10,000 pages of it.
