Residents' Association
We are a sub group of Street Scene Greenfield and have adopted the Huddersfield Canal towpath from the steps at Uppermill High Street to Manchester Road Mossley.
Over the past 12 years we have laid tonnes of stone & grano to improve the footpath surface. We have also replaced fencing, cut back foliage, painted the locks and kept the towpath free of litter.
For our work we have been awarded the Queens Award for voluntary service.
We meet twice a month, Saturday & Tuesdays at various points along the canal to keep making improvements. Keep an eye out on this website as meeting points, dates & times are added here regularly.
We are a friendly, welcoming bunch and anyone is welcome. There are always coffee & biscuits to enjoy when we have a break!
